Strength... building our strength especially taking time to be with God. Words of encouragement:
"Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him." (1 Chronicles 16:11 NLT)

Is it windy where you are? It is here, where I live, and "they" are saying it will be windy "until early afternoon." I'm not sure how "they" know WHEN it will stop being windy but it is probably like "they" know the storm will stop at the county line. If you look at the weather maps "they" have marked particular counties for the "watch or warning."
Meanwhile we are all blessed because we know God IS with us no matter how windy - or the "storm" - it is where we are. Something to think about........ "But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress." (Psalm 59:16 NLT)
Thankful for God's strength, presence and guidance as we encourage each other. Thankful Thursday is a good way to remember, celebrate and share - maybe even with singing. Definitely with a "good morning." Something to think about....... Sometimes we think of strength as "muscles" - as in I go to the gym three times a week. Sometimes we think of strength as how far/long we can walk. Sometimes we should think of strength as "look how far you've come"! When I started going to the gym my goal was to be able to stand up from (and SIT down - as opposed to "fall into") a chair. I can now! I was even able to get OUT of my grandson's mini Cooper!! So......what strength goal have you reached? What goals are you accomplishing? Something to think about.......
The memories are strong for this Monday because the hymns, yesterday, really brought them back. The first hymn, "It Is Well," gives memories AND reminders of Emmanuel -- God IS with us through the changes and challenges happening around us. The first verse is: "When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, "It is well, it is well with my soul.""
Saturday.... finishing one week, getting ready for next week..... Then add in changing times..... This is the week we "spring forward." This is the week we "loose" an hour of sleep. This is the week we need to find time for a nap. This is the week we really need to work on times..... So.... you might want to pay attention to the "little green guy." Something to think about....
Sometimes the schedule can stay the same giving time for (you guessed it) quilting! The only difference is praise music will only be during the drive time. When are you getting time for you? When are you able to do "your" thing? Are you making "you" time a part of the schedule? Something to think about........
Thinking about, and thankful for, God's presence, guidance and strength. Also thinking about sharing - ways to encourage each other. A smile? A kind word? Something to think about.......
God's wonders are all around us - as I have said before. We get beautiful sunrises (if you wake up to see them) and beautiful sunsets. There are pictures, this week, all over the internet showing the "blood moon" from all different places. Sometimes there are even pictures of the Northern Lights - some of which have "moved" pretty far 'south."
So..... here are a couple of pictures of one of our favorite activities when on vacation. Whale watching! The pictures bring back wonderful memories and a lot of stories to share. So......... enjoy! So what do you get excited about? Travel? The new workout you're learning? Maybe the new shop you found -- quilting or yarn? Maybe the new recipe you're trying? Or......maybe...... the praise song that is really speaking to you? Where you have felt God's strength and guidance? Or...maybe... the time to share is VERY short.... maybe "just" a smile and a hug. Something to think about......
