Sharing strength and encouragement means we have to figure out when and how. We also need to make sure we are listening for what God is saying to each of us. Is it easy? No. Is it needed? Yes. So how do we do this? When do we do this? Who are we sharing with? Words of encouragement:
"I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings." (1 Corinthians 9:23 NLT)

Free time is "hard" to come by. Sometimes it needs to scheduled, and sometimes it is "only" a few hours on a "free" afternoon. Either way it is important to s-t-o-p and re-create so we can feel God's strength and guidance. Words of encouragement: "Le my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me." (Psalm 116:7 NLT)
Thanks be to God for God's presence and blessings. How do we thank God? When do we thank God? How do we help each other to be able to praise God? Words of encouragement: " The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of Thanksgiving." (Psalm 28:7 NLT)
Working on strengthening, and sharing, God's love and guidance takes time and practice. We need to be strong so we can encourage each other. That can mean taking more "God" time or even "working out" so we are physically stronger. Either way God IS with us helping and guiding. Words of encouragement: "Yet God my King is from of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth." (Psalm 74:12 ESV)
Talking to each other, teaching if we can, helping and encouraging each other are all things we can do to help strengthen our own relationship with God AND help others to strengthen their relationship with God. The question is...when do we do this? HOW do we do this? Words of encouragement: " for he taught with real authority - quite unlike their teachers of religious law." (Matthew 7:29 NLT)
Music Monday is slightly different this week because the memory of the hymn is what keeps going through my mind. The hymn "Sweet Hour of Prayer" has this for the second verse:
"The joys I feel, the bliss I share Of those whose anxious Spirit's burn With strong desires for Thy return With such I hasten to the place, 'Where God my Savior shows His face And gladly take my station there And wait for Thee, sweet hour of prayer." Sunday, celebrating God's loving presence with Sabbath worship, sharing and fellowship. A time to slow down, maybe even s-t-o-p, and be in prayer with praise. Words of encouragement: A Psalm. A song to be sung on the Sabbath day. It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High." (Psalm 92:1 NLT)
Sharing God's presence, strength and guidance can seem difficult. It can also be as easy as an encouraging word, or comment, OR a hug. Sometimes it is "just" a smile. Words of encouragement:
"Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them." (Galatians 6:6 NLT) Friends, family and fellowship (and food?), are a wonderful way to make memories and share God's love. Sometimes said fellowship has to actually be schedules. Sometimes it just "happens" but either way it is a time to celebrate. Words of encouragement: "May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." (2 Corinthians 13:14 NLT)
Thankful for the many blessings God has given - food, a roof, friends, family and (sometimes) fellowship. Also thankful for God's presence and guidance through the challenges. Words of encouragement: " I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever." (Psalm 86:12 ESV)
