Are you able to travel? Going "by yourself" or with your "person"? I confess the traveling I did yesterday reminded me of traveling with Dad. Yes, I was coming to Dayton, to see my son and grandsons, which Dad did with me several times. Yes, it reminded me of interesting difficulties of traveling with Dad. But.... it also pointed out difficulties I now face as I recover from the surgery and regain strength.
One interesting difficulty is the need to now fly, to Dayton, with a change in planes. This means the airport in Minneapolis - but I know this airport - AND going through another airport. It means finding restrooms, which gates and IF they have any assistance available for those of us struggling with steps and energy. Thankfully, yesterday, the person sitting next to me on the plane was also going to Dayton (home) and knew the "change" airport. Quite a bit of walking but then, thankfully, chairs! By the time I got to my son, in Dayton, I had over 4000 steps and was getting tired. After sitting, while he finished some work, we had supper and went grocery shopping. I admit....after over 1000 more steps.... I "hit" the wall. Home, collapse in chair, and sleep. Then today is a QUIET day with praise music and quilting. So..... How is your traveling? Steps? Recovery? You do have to laugh or you will start screaming!
