I have heard, and seen, several comments about talking to ourselves. Do you talk to yourself? I know I think I have always talked to myself. I started answering myself when my son was a teenager - I was the only one who answered the way I wanted to hear it. Now I seem to be talking to myself even more. Usually to keep myself focused on what I am trying to accomplish - pick up my feet, keep my balance, DON'T fall, SIT in the chair......
What about you? Do you talk to yourself? Does it feel like it when no one seems to be paying attention let alone answering you? I've talked about Dad staying so focused I don't think he even knew I was talking let alone talking to him. What about your "person"? Do they hear, and answer, you? Regaining strength, for whatever reason, means encouraging ourselves - sometimes with self talk, sometimes reminding ourselves of the need to move slowly, and sometimes telling ourselves it is time to return to our chair and SIT. Through it all it is good to laugh......or you will start screaming!
