How are you at sharing? I don't mean the kind of sharing when we were kids and two (or more) both wanted the last piece of cake. Mothers everywhere would have one "cut" and the other got to get the first piece. I don't even mean sharing of the things we have, or of our gifts/talents, which most of us are quite willing to share with anyone who needs or is interested.
Right now I don't even mean how I would try to share Dad with anyone who was willing. There were times I was even ready to try the "Ransom of Red Chief" if anyone would "take him." I do come by my crazy honest! And I will admit several times it was because I figured someone might be able learn from him. No..... I'm thinking about when we have found something to laugh about. A website (like this one?) we could share with others who are also "caregivers." A Facebook post, or page, that encourages and, maybe, makes us laugh. So...... definitely something to think about......maybe even share.

I don't know about you but I grew up learning, where I lived then (and again now), there were four seasons - spring, summer, fall and winter. The weather has been so crazy, over the last few years, it is hard to believe the idea of "four" seasons anywhere - but that is what we had in school. Now I have decided there are really only two --- winter and ROAD Construction! Of course I will also admit some of the places I have lived "only" had road construction.
Road construction can be very frustrating - especially when you aren't sure about the detours. OR when they don't 'warn' you about said detours until you are at the road block. There is also the problem of no "detour" you are just supposed to know where you are and how to change your route. I had to take an unknown exit, off a highway in the Twin Cities, and got totally turned around for where I was. I ended up calling Dad, saying I'm looking at the Hippadrome, get me out of here! A friend and I were supposed to be in a class!! Thankfully Dad could get me back to where I knew where I was AND we were only 15 minutes late for class. Now, of course, I have to call a sister instead but I have been known to do that - "I'm looking at the corner of Walk and Don't Walk - get me out of here!" So.......with Google Maps, GPS and other services do you still call someone? Are you laughing or screaming? |
